The Mt. Moriah Outreach, Inc./Soup Kitchen, a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization, relies on the generosity of donors, grants, businesses, churches, civic organizations, annual Post Office food drive, regular food drives, fundraising events, and individual donations . With ongoing economic hardship for many within the Camden area, expenses increase as the number of those served increases. Great care is taken by Mt. Moriah’s Soup Kitchen volunteers to obtain food items, paper products and cleaning materials at reduced cost (or at no cost). With no paid staff, 100% of all donations are used for food and other operating expenses.

The Mt. Moriah Soup Kitchen,  is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization; donations are tax exempt to the extent permitted by law.

Food Donations and Clothing

Please deliver to the Mt. Moriah Soup Kitchen located (near entrance to the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church) 813 Broad St. Camden, SC ), Saturdays and Mondays  between 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. To see a list of especially needed items, click here,   We serve an average of 201  to the hungry on Saturdays and Mondays, the need for food items keeps increasing as the number of people increases.
